CARTIER, ART DECO, AGATE AND LAPIS LAZULI LETTER OPENER WATCH
Consisting of an agate letter opener with clock handle containing a Cartier dial, blue Roman numerals and carved lapis lazuli and blue enamel decoration. Mounted in silver and yellow gold. 13 inches long.
Engraved: 2454 Made in France.
Stamp: (French hallmarks)(French maker's mark) 0772.
Accompanied by a fitted Cartier box.
Condition
Measurements: The letter opener measures approximately 13 inches long.Overall Condition: The watch sets but is not running at the time of cataloguing. There is a chip to the agate, discoloration and heavy scratching to the metal, some abrading to the lapis lazuli and wear to the dial consistent with age.Our specialists were unable to open the case without risking further damage. Therefore, we do not know if the movement is signed. Personal engraving: TO O.O. FROM JOE TOPLITZKY DECEMBER 25th 1928.
